The Benefits Specialist will assist in Benefit plan maintenance, module implementations, and system updates. They complete data entry functions involving termination, hire and transfer data, benefit changes and other information as assigned. They will assist in educating new employees regarding human resource policies and programs, as needed and perform general office support functions and assist Human Resources team as necessary. 

Responsibilities

  • Provides education and guidance to team members with benefit inquiries
  • Maintains team member benefit system and ensure benefit changes are entered appropriately
  • Prepares deduction/contribution reports for each payroll cycle
  • Supports the coordination and execution of Annual Open Enrollment
  • Assists in benefit communications and delivery of information
  • Administers the Retirement Program for employees
  • Manages Leave of Absences by assisting with Employer statements and other necessary documentation
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
  • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/Equivalent 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 1+ years of relevant HR experience
