HOW A CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Working with the contract team and customer to resolve challenges and maintain system and tool availability
- High-paced and dynamic customer environment with multiple stakeholders
- Work supports a critical federal agency with an important mission, this role is part of a team that maintains cybersecurity tools and systems.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA or BS preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related scientific or technical discipline.
- Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: CompTIA Security+
- Security Clearance Level: Interim Secret or Top Secret or SCI
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Flexible, team-oriented, problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess complex cyber threats and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Capable of conveying technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Thorough in reviewing configurations, logs, and security events.
- Ability to respond quickly to evolving cyber threats and shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and secure system design.
- Evaluates risk and makes informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Preferred Skills: CISSP
- Location: DC Metro area
- US Citizenship required to qualify for security clearance
