We're seeking an individual with Kubernetes and MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) experience to help build and expand our hybrid cloud MLOps platform. As a core developer, you'll actively participate in one of our OpenShift AI component teams and their affiliated open-source communities. You'll be responsible for rapidly designing, securing, building, testing, and releasing new capabilities. This individual contributor role involves close collaboration with other developers and cross-functional teams. We're looking for someone passionate about open-source and dedicated to integrating Red Hat, open-source, and partner technologies into a unified platform.

What you will do:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of new features and solutions for RHOAI.

• Drive MLOps/LLMOps innovation through active participation in upstream communities.

• Provide technical vision and leadership for critical and high-impact projects.

• Ensure non-functional requirements like security, resiliency, and maintainability are met.

• Develop unit and integration tests and collaborate with quality engineers to ensure product quality.

• Utilize CI/CD best practices to deliver solutions as productization efforts into RHOAI.

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing recommendations and technical knowledge.

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to clarify business requirements.

• Effectively communicate development progress to stakeholders and team members.

• Provide thoughtful and prompt code reviews.

• Represent RHOAI in external engagements, including industry events, customer meetings, and open-source communities.

• Mentor, influence, and coach a distributed team of engineers.

• Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, identifying opportunities for integration into existing workflows and tooling.

• Proactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions.

• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini) for tasks such as brainstorming solutions, deep research, summarizing technical documentation, drafting communications, and enhancing problem-solving efficiency.

What you will bring:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience developing applications in Go, Python, or other relevant languages.

• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other cloud-native technologies.

• Ability to quickly learn and guide others on new tools and technologies.

• Proficiency with source code management tools like Git.

• Proven innovation skills and a passion for staying at the forefront of technology.
