Job Summary:
In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking Senior Systems Test Engineer to work in White Sands, New Mexico. The Senior System Test Engineer will join a team that is supporting an active radar system Integration and Test site at White Sands Missile Range. As part of the team, this engineer will work with local radar system leads to troubleshoot and solve system related problem, coordinating with Raytheon Technologies team and/or White Sands Missile Range to identify, diagnose and correct related issues.
This is an onsite position at White Sands Missile Range. Travel is required domestically and internationally with little notice for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Support the operations of our radar systems
- Software installation, operational support, test and validation
- System troubleshooting, repair and resolution of system problems or failures, including the use and evaluation of diagnostics and associated diagnostics results
- System modifications and associated verification/performance check
- System test including test requirements, test setup and implementation, test script development, and data compilation and analysis
- Work in remote and hazardous locations exposed to environmental hazards, energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, unexploded ordnance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior Radar Integration & Test experience.
- CompTIA Security + Certification - must be current.
- Experience in an engineering setting providing support to field operations for a radar system.
- Experience with radar hardware/software concepts, such as but not limited to: RF systems, troubleshooting, and/or reading/utilizing hardware schematics.
- Experience with UNIX based OS, such as Linux and/or Solaris.
- Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with X-Band radar hardware, software, concepts of operation, and troubleshooting
- Experience using design, debug, and test hardware/software.
- Knowledge of analog/digital hardware design.
- Teaming skills, multi-task, work under stress, support across multiple disciplines, and flexible to travel to support the radar.
- Familiarity with Network equipment configuration/setup (routers switches etc)
