Weekend Option Advanced Practice Provider – Gastroenterology

Location: Deaconess Gateway and Midtown Hospitals, Evansville, IN
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Call: Telephonic call coverage every other weekend (subject to change based on team needs)
Holiday Coverage: 1 holiday per year, shared among 16 APPs
Team: 20 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), 9 outpatient physicians, 1 GI hospitalist
Educational Advancement: Opportunities available after 6 months of employment

Position Overview:

Deaconess Health System is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Gastroenterology team in a weekend option role. This position offers a structured schedule with extended time off during the week, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in an inpatient setting including assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

• Participate in telephonic call coverage every other weekend, with potential adjustments based on team requirements.

• Contribute to holiday coverage, typically 1 holiday per year, shared among team members.
