Overview
The Pricing and Forecasting Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leveraging moderate to advanced data analytics to address complex business challenges that include optimizing pricing decisions, evaluating promotional effectiveness, and forecasting demand, focusing on uncovering how data can drive strategic decisions and operational improvements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. In addition, the role involves gathering and normalizing data from various sources, ensuring its integrity and quality through strict adherence to information governance practices.
The Senior Data Analyst interprets data using advanced techniques to extract insights, develops visualizations to communicate findings, and establishes comprehensive metrics to measure performance.
They propose solutions for data issues, facilitate effective communication between departments, and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and timelines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement statistical models to identify and reveal trends, patterns, and relationships in data to provide guidance to others for decision making processes.
- Assist in development of comprehensive data product designs that align with organizational goals
- Lead data classification and data-mining activities to enable more accurate analysis.
- Collaborate with SGWS cross functional departments to analyze existing data processes and subsequently recommend improvements.

- Inform solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals while suggesting analytics opportunities and best practices.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed data products, making necessary adjustments and improvements.
- Analyze, interpret, and simplify model outputs into understandable data stories for stakeholders.
- Create enterprise data visualizations and reports to clearly present to stakeholders.
- Contribute to management of central data stores and metadata to establish quality expectations.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the data product meets quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to increase data quality, including automation.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance data products to meet evolving business needs.
- Participates in identifying and implementing techniques for data collection, accuracy and management.
- Report findings and works proactively with data governance, data stewards, business systems to propose methods for remediation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, information science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
