Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Quality Engineering Manager based out of Berkeley, Missouri.

You will be the Software Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager over a team of SQEs supporting Boeing Defense, Space and Security programs. Primary program locations include St Louis, Huntington Beach, and Fairfax, with most of the work in St Louis. You will interface with Business Unit leads to understand customer requirements, emerging work, and planned SQE workloads. You will align SQE team priorities and to address elevated SQE issues. You will not only manage staffing and performance but will passionately motivate and lead your team through an organizational change which requires an enhanced level of SQE engagement on programs.

This position will require 10% travel.

Position Responsibilities

• Manages employees performing Software Quality Engineering and other technical activities in the area of Software Engineering 

• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

• 5+ years of experience with software development programs

• Experience leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active Security Clearance

• Experience with DO-178

• Experience in agile methodologies

• Experience with software quality

• Experience with DevSecOps

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 132,600 – 179,400
