JOB SUMMARY
The Academic Resource Center is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join our academic support team as Supplemental Instructors. The successful candidates will play a key role in enhancing student success by leading structured group study sessions for challenging courses. As a Supplemental Instructor, you will collaborate with faculty, provide academic support, and create a positive and engaging learning environment.
We currently support:
- General Biology I and II
- General Chemistry I and II
- A&P I and II
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regularly scheduled SI sessions.
- Facilitate group discussions, review course materials, and reinforce key concepts.
- Collaborate with course instructors to align session content with the ongoing curriculum.
- Guide effective study skills, time management, and exam preparation.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment for all participating students.
- Maintain attendance records.
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT
NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of the targeted course with a strong understanding of the content (A or B+).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for supporting student success and fostering a positive learning environment.
