Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role can be based in San Francisco or New York.
Our GTM Horizontal Strategic Finance team is searching for a results-driven individual to partner closely with senior leaders across the Marketing Org. We provide actionable insights by bridging operational data and financial outputs in order to build, manage, and operate a world-class Marketing org. The team focuses on partnering directly with our CMSO (Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer) and her leadership team to drive impact across the business.
The role is highly cross-functional, indexing heavily on the individual’s adaptability & flexibility in balancing operational rigor, generating data-driven insights, and driving implementation of strategic solutions. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial bent, and will:
- Provide the “so-whats” and recommend budget allocation & utilization during financial planning and in-quarter management
- Solve highly complex and ambiguous financial, operational & strategic problems within LinkedIn’s Marketing Org
- Have exceptional business acumen and skills to operate autonomously to identify, prioritize, partner, influence and implement high-impact initiatives to support company-wide priorities

Responsibilities:
Strategic Thinking and Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis across all aspects of marketing; develop understanding of key drivers to identify improvement areas
- Advise senior members of Marketing Organization through data-driven recommendations; drive strategic projects to benefit short- and long-term growth opportunities
- Validate recommendations by executing ad hoc analysis; derive actionable insights to prove/disprove hypothesis and define real-world implications
Financial Management and Rigor
- Support Marketing organization by performance managing and optimizing our marketing budget; develop models, metrics, and forecasts to maintain financial rigor
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders; provide actionable insights from financial metrics to answer a wide variety of strategic questions.
- Proactively identify gaps related to financial metrics, outlook, or processes; remedies gap within defined procedures, taking charge in driving the needed solutions
Stakeholder Management and Influence
- Synthesize problems and communicates implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) to drive alignment and decision-making on issues within area of responsibility
- Leverage insights and data to develop narrative; adept in weaving numbers into storyline to influence stakeholders
- Effectively communicate point of view/ advise to senior stakeholders to deliver a call to action

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business/Data Analytics, Finance, or related field, AND minimum 3 years of experience in high-growth technology companies, finance, accounting, management consulting, investment banking, OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the technology industry
- 1+ years of experience working with marketing teams
- General understanding of marketing measurement and processes
