Meet the team:
 

As a Staff Data Scientist in Dexcom’s Clinical Research Group, you will be a key contributor to Dexcom’s core Clinical Research Team, collaborating with scientists, physiologists, and chemists within the group and across Dexcom’s R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Affairs to provide best-in-class data analysis that drives innovation and regulatory submission of our current and next generation products.

You will be working with our biostatistics and data management teams closely who manage and analyze raw data from our global clinical trials to drive better clinical research, development and validation activities.

Where you come in:

  • Use techniques from statistical analysis to build knowledge of Dexcom clinical trials, clinical sites, next generation products and measurement technologies
  • Apply advanced techniques in measurement techniques in support of Advanced Research and Development products
  • Support stakeholders across R&D, Clinical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs with insights into clinical trial data analysis for submission to regulatory authorities
  • Work with the biostatistics and data management team to clean and interpret raw data into analysis-ready data sets for submission.
  • Plan and conduct high quality research into the patterns and properties of diabetes centric data from the individual to population scale to inform R&D and Regulatory Affairs on product performance and clinical trial design and measurement methodologies
  • Serve as a resource for the biostatistics team and Clinical Scientists in clinical trial design and analysis of diabetes device data.
  • Evaluate published regulatory guidance as it applies to data analysis and clinical study design to apply inform Dexcom’s next generation products and technologies

What makes you successful:

  • Experience working with human clinical trial data and clinical protocols
  • Advanced knowledge or experience of statistical methods
  • Advanced knowledge or experience with algorithms and the mathematical methods used to inform automated insulin delivery systems
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple analytical measurement technique
  • Experience with statistical languages and packages.
  • Experience with visualization software and techniques.
  • A team player with demonstrated track record of collaboration
  • Capable of conducting independent research, motivated by hard technical challenges
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a proven track record to translate complex methodologies and analytical results to business insights

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with JMP, MATLAB, Python, or advanced analysis software
  • Experience performing or evaluating analyses for regulated medical devices.
  • Experience with statistical inference, data mining, pattern recognition or machine learning.
  • Experience with advanced analytic and algorithm techniques for medical device performance characterization from clinical trial data including.
  • Ability to write high quality technical articles for publication in industry and scientific journals.
  • Experience working cross functionally with teams deployed across the US and internationally.
  • Experience in continuous glucose monitoring and related dat
