Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Factory Automation Engineer - Industrial Robotics for John Deere in Dubuque, IA, you will:
- Leads, plans, coordinates, and performs advanced professional controls engineering for Robotic and other manufacturing automated systems setup and improvement assignments of varied engineering tasks
- Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, support personnel, and contractors
- Manage and make decisions on automation projects for the department and work with cross functional team for execution
- Contribute to the design of engineering solutions
- Design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions
- Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
What Skills You Need
- 2 years of experience with Robot offline and online programing for complex weld structures for construction equipment. Design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and involve in implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions. Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan
- 2 years of experience with Industrial Engineering for fabrication processes including setup, design process, Fabrication Line, layout for new products, run SAP transactions to setup processes and routings to enable production, and calculate the labor cost, time, and manpower requirements to build the new product or equipment. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems change management programs to address them
- 2 years of experience with the Robotic Weld Programming to build prototype weld structure for construction equipment and troubleshooting of robotic systems on the shopfloor, installation and implementation of new robotic system in production. Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters
