HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
From fabrication to final assembly, Stepp Mfg. is a full manufacturing facility for asphalt maintenance equipment. Our equipment heats, stores, transports, and applies all types of asphaltic material for maintaining the roadways.

An adaptable HR Generalist is being sought to join Stepp Mfg. and play a vital role in the company's growth. This person will manage all aspects of HR as our dedicated department of one and will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our employee experience, shape our workplace culture, and contribute significantly to the success of our company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Manage recruiting for all positions, from entry-level to leadership roles. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure successful talent acquisition and seamless onboarding.
● Manage all aspects of onboarding for new hires, including orientation, benefits enrollment, and introduction to company culture.
● Perform offboarding operations to ensure smooth transitions for departing employees while maintaining positive relationships.
● Administer accurate and timely payroll processing for 70+ employees, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws and company policies.
● Manage and maintain the company's affirmative action program(s), ensuring compliance with federal regulations and assisting in the development of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
● Report and keep record of worker’s compensation claims, track open cases by staying in communication with the company’s claim representative assigned to the case, maintain and report OSHA logs 300 and 300A.
● Address employee concerns and conduct investigations in compliance with company policy and legal standards, promoting a positive and productive workplace.
● Coordinate training for employees on HR-related topics, such as workplace safety, company policies, and professional development, enhancing workforce knowledge and skill sets.
● Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
● Coordinate performance management programs, including performance reviews and employee feedback.
● Assist leadership with strategic workforce planning to meet business goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
● Proficiency in HR software and systems.
● In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Education and Experience:
● Associates Degree or 5+ years relevant work experience
