Senior Machine Learning Feature Engineer

We strive to transform smart electric vehicles with technology and data, shaping the mobility experience of the future.   We are looking for a machine learning research engineer with strong programming and development skills and experience with machine learning. Experiences with deep learning algorithms, 3d reconstruction, SLAM, unsupervised/self-supervised or active learning are preferred.   Our mission is to solve the autonomous driving problem. You will work with a team of machine learning researchers to build AI software systems, learn about deep learning algorithms, and use your technical skills to advance autonomous driving.   Job Responsibilities:

• Build a highly scalable system to provide ground-truth labels for XPeng's machine learning models.
• Design computer vision and machine learning algorithms and data pipelines that can leverage the vast amount of vision and lidar data from a fleet of million vehicles.
• Adopt the latest research advancement in machine learning, robotics, and graphics into production.
• Work with machine learning feature developers and annotation tool developers to ship impact to our product.

  Minimum Skill Requirements:

• M.S. or Ph.D degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science or related fields.
• 1-3 years of experience in Python with a deep understanding of software design and algorithms.
• Strong collaboration skill and team player; open minded to diverse viewpoints; reasoning and communicating from the first principle.
• Familiar with one or more of the following areas: 3D reconstruction, neural graphics, un/self-supervised learning, SLAM, object detection, and sensor fusion.
• Familiar with one machine learning development framework such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet.
• Familiarity with C++, CUDA, and/or cloud pipeline development is a plus.

  The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $250,000, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
