Seaman Corporation is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Material Handler to join our Wooster Shipping/Receiving team! This position will report to the Distribution Supervisor in Wooster. As of March 1, 2026, we will transition to a 24/7 rotation with a 4:3 schedule. Must be able to work within that schedule. Night shift will be 7p-7a. Present training will take place on 3rd Shift, 11p – 7a.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping/Receiving Material Handler will be responsible for the safe, smooth, and efficient flow of material and supplies through the plant, shipping and receiving materials from vendors and to customers, and for all paperwork necessary for shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Will assist and take direction from the Distribution Supervisor to ensure all areas of responsibility run efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assists in the daily activities of the department including all Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing functions.
• Prepares customer orders for shipment
• Loads and unloads shipments
• Receives incoming freight
• Monitors and maintains warehouse inventory
• Managers material movements
• Coordinates cycle counts
• Provides flexibility for shift coverage and overtime
• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ year of experience in Manufacturing or Shipping/Receiving
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Forklift/Hand truck experience
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Oracle experience
