Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and execute the global O2C strategy in alignment with BMS’s overall business objectives.
o Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of O2C processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. o Collaborate with senior leadership to align O2C initiatives with broader organizational goals.
Operational Excellence:
o Oversee the end-to-end O2C process architecture, including order management, billing, collections, and cash application. o Collaborate with O2C operations to identify gaps and opportunities and lead process & performance improvements.
o Manage risk and ensure robust internal controls and compliance with BMS policies, SOX and regulatory requirements. o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support implementation of corrective actions to achieve performance targets.
People Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global O2C team.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
o Manage resource allocation and succession planning to ensure team effectiveness.
Project Management:
o Lead and manage global O2C projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
o Utilize project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor project progress.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business leaders, sales, finance and customer service teams to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
Technology and Innovation:
o Stay abreast of industry and digital trends, including AI advancements, in O2C processes.
o Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
o Partner with IT and external vendors to evaluate system capabilities, develop technology roadmap and deploy advanced systems and solutions.
External Focus:
o Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation and digital transformation.
o Engage with industry forums, conferences, and professional networks to benchmark best practices.
o Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry experts.
o Represent BMS in external engagements to promote the company’s O2C capabilities and achievements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance.
Pharmaceutical experience required.
In-depth knowledge of O2C processes, systems, and best practices; experience in multiple finance functions (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Financial Planning & Analysis) preferred.
Ability to think strategically, translate high level business objectives into actionable plans and successfully execute them.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading process improvement and complex projects.
Proven leadership experience in managing global teams and driving organizational change.
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills & ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Digital acumen and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and other relevant technologies.
Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and technological advancements.
