From the initial prospect connection to continued portfolio management, Senior Commercial Real Estate Relationship Managers at UMB develop meaningful connections with the companies and communities they serve. As a Sr. CRE Relationship Manager, you will develop and manage new CRE loan clients and deals, always aware of market data and trends in CRE, sourcing new deals in various commercial verticals and assisting in the expansion of UMB’s brand and market footprint.

How you'll spend your time:
- You will serve as an expert on CRE loans for the market.
- As loan opportunities are presented you will underwrite the collateral property, market and guarantor; structure the loan; prepare the loan approval package; present the request to loan committee for consideration; and negotiate and document the loan in conjunction with the assigned Loan Closing Coordinator and outside legal counsel (as applicable).
- You will oversee of a portfolio of CRE loans, which includes the following responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Construction Loan Disbursement Group, review monthly construction loan draw requests to ensure construction remains on budget and on schedule.
- In conjunction with the assigned REG Portfolio Manager, monitor the collateral property performance to ensure absorption, operating performance, etc. meet covenant requirements and are consistent with the approval and appraisal assumptions.
- In conjunction with the assigned REG Portfolio Manager, prepare renewals, modifications (as applicable) and annual reviews of the loans.
- In conjunction with the assigned REG Portfolio Manager, you will perform regular reviews of property and guarantor financial condition to ensure the highest credit quality as well as the continued appropriateness of the risk rating.
- You will recommend risk rating adjustments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
- You have 7+ years of institutional commercial real estate lending and underwriting experience, demonstrating expert knowledge of CRE credit and underwriting.
- You demonstrate strong knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations.
- You demonstrate the ability to prospect and network at various levels within the company.
- You demonstrate a strong connectivity with local commercial real estate development network.
- You are a self-starter and show initiative, managing your time and projects effectively.
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Compensation Range:
Minimum: $99,750.00 - Maximum: $257,250.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
