Microsoft Research Global Operations (MSR-GO) is looking to fill a key role focusing on Workplace Management and Intern Operations. MSR-GO is the central office for Microsoft Research, a key component of the Technology & Research organization of Microsoft. Responsibilities
The Business Program Manager, Workplace Management position requires an individual who can anticipate and understands how to get things done at Microsoft through influence and partnership by leveraging your extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills. This role requires experience in planning, simplification, execution, continuous improvement, and building relationships and working with business administrators to executives within the org. The preferred candidate should have solid problem-solving skills, demonstrated success in driving projects, outstanding cross group organizational skills and agility, proficient communication skills (verbal and written), proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter who never becomes satisfied with the status quo. They should enjoy working under pressure and deadlines and be flexible with tolerance for and ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage the various workplace types (assigned seating, Touchdown seating, lab/specialty)
- Develop a deep understanding of the workplace needs of T&R employees in Puget Sound and help create planning principles to enable effective occupancy plans.
- Understanding space metrics and analytics with regard to programming and space planning.
- Work closely with lab/specialty space contacts to track and manage fit for purpose.
- Defining workplace strategies for T&R that reflect, enable, and promote T&R culture in partnership with business management teams and GWS.
- Closely partnering with Corporate GWS teams to deliver workplace solutions focused on the employee experience within our T&R buildings and spaces.
Support Intern Operations
- Intern space planning and seat assignments, balancing capacity and demand by team
- Intern onboarding including EC-Prehire PCN Management and day 1 account tracking
- Intern offboarding including equipment return and space resets
- Intern and mentor communications including DL/SG management
- Intern program reporting
- On site orientation and event support

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree AND 1+ year(s) experience working with stakeholders in a project or program
OR Bachelor's Degree
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft productivity software including, but not limited to: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerBI
- Proficiency with MSSpace
- Knowledge in other internal applications such as Employee Central, HeadTrax, and ICIMS is desirable
