Job Description

Job Overview

Experian’s internship program offers the opportunity to learn about Experian’s business and the core aspects of our HR function and Internal Communications principles through project work. As a member of the HR team, you will contribute to the Consumer Information Services business unit’s success by partnering with your mentors to build out and implement communications programs across CIS and the larger company. It will be important to develop partnerships in marketing to assist with digital media content for external channels. We are looking for someone who likes to be creative, is detail-oriented, and can work both independently and in a teamwork.

What you’ll be doing

  • Internal Communications Planning and Execution
    • Assist with engaging, informing, and directing employees about the business strategy and priorities
    • Design and draft employee newsletters and communications
    • Direction will be set along the way, but this individual should be able to come up with creative ideas, suggestions, and recommendations on how to have the biggest impact
    • Assist with managing distribution lists and channel membership
    • Produce high-quality written and visual content (newsletters, email/portal banners, infographics, video messages, live events, etc.)
    • Partner with various teams to provide timely updates on milestones
  • “Comms Stack” Technology
    • Design, update, and maintain the intranet site on SharePoint
    • Assist with updating the internal communications content calendar on Microsoft 365 platforms
  • Culture
    • Assist with rolling out culture events/campaigns
    • Be an engaged member in various Experian communities of practice – Internal Communications, Creative Collective, Writers & Editors
    • Support corporate social responsibility programs and employee resource groups

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  • Current Junior/Senior undergraduate level or graduate student
  • Pursuing a degree in Visual Arts, Marketing, English, Communications, Management, or similar
  • Must be able to work in Pacific and Central time zones
  • Desired Characteristics:
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to learn concepts quickly, detail-oriented
    • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills 

    • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to relationship management
    • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, design layout skills
    • Confident communicator and confident in working with all levels of management 

    • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

      • Additional proficiencies a plus:
        • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
        • Slack
        • FirstUp
  • Ability to deliver quality results quickly while working in a dynamic team environment

Hours & Duration

  • Part-time (25-35 hours per week)
  • Duration: 6 months with potential extension
