RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position is responsible for overseeing US tax reporting and compliance activities, including but not limited to the following:
  • Prepare tax support workpapers for income tax compliance.  Work with compliance service providers on all compliance matters.
  • Prepare income tax provision workpapers and support documentation.  Prepare tax forecast based on business plan objectives.
  • Maintain tax depreciation software for fixed assets and prepare federal and state tax forms (forms 4562 / 4797).
  • Prepare federal and state estimated tax calculations and account reconciliations..
  • Perform tax research utilizing tax research tools and support tax planning initiatives..
  • Investigagte tax notices and prepare responses  
  • Support research and development tax credit study and information requests from service providers.
  • Identify and support tax process improvement projects.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting and/or tax accounting

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Minimum 3 years of related tax experience
  • Must be self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, documentation and research skills (including technical tax research).
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel highly preferred.
  • Must show aptitude to learn new systems quickly. 
  • Experience in manufacturing companies is in advantage
