Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager, this position(s) is responsible for processing invoices, supplier expense payments, and non-financial aid student payments accurately and promptly. Additionally, they will assist in researching and resolving issues related to checks, payments and assisting the Accounts Payable Manager in recommending, documenting, and implementing process improvements. In addition, they will participate in system testing for new technical systems or upgrades
Essential Functions:

Timely and accurate processing of payable items.
Establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
Review stale date checks / escheatment, process utilities payment or account reconciliations as assigned by management.
Monitoring and ensuring American University Procurement to Pay policies, process and procedures are clarified, communicated, and adhered while supporting an environment of continuous process improvement.
Assisting with process and system testing as needed.
Special duties and projects as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-Time.
35 hours per week.
Salary Range:
Up to $34 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
2-4 years of relevant experience
