LOCATION/HOURS

This is a part-time, in-person internship based out of our New York City office location. This role will be expected to work in office 2-3 days a week.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The SEO Development team is in search of a highly organized, reliable, and resourceful summer intern to support the data reconciliation and cleanup of our Salesforce platform. This role reports to the Development Operations Manager and offers the unique opportunity to interface with donor databases and experience fundraising operations first-hand.

Our ideal candidate will have a discernable passion for closing opportunity gaps, an interest in nonprofit development, and a penchant for data accuracy and integrity. 

Responsibilities include:

• Data cleanup and reconciliation: removing duplicates, merging records, identifying discrepancies, and adjusting records.
• Gathering donor contact information from various sources and updating their contact records.
• Performing online searches, occasionally calling or emailing donors’ offices to verify current information.
• Preparing various Excel or CSV lists with the current data collected to be uploaded onto Salesforce.
• Organizing files on the Box platform: scanning PDF’s, naming and storing files in appropriate Box folders.
• Assist with mailings, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited degree program. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Must be able to commit to the full term and schedule of the internship.
• Technical proficiency with standard workplace applications, including MS365, Zoom, Box (or similar cloud storage applications), and Adobe.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable communicating in person, on the phone, and via chat or email as necessary.
• High accuracy standards and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar database and advanced Excel is strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 

This position is benefits ineligible in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
