Production Specialist

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Production Specialist to join our growing team.

 

Production Specialist

1. Production:
   1. Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
   2. Dump dumpsters and hoppers safely and clean up any spills.
   3. Assure proper relief before departing – Overtime may be required.
   4. Fill in during break times, vacation, or as needed during production.
   5. Assure that assigned areas stay clean and free of clutter at all times.
2. Quality:
   1. Participate in quality and safety initiatives including following 5S guidelines.
   2. Know quality specifications and customer needs for your area.
3. Housekeeping:
   1. Perform system clean-up tasks as required.
   2. Maintain housekeeping throughout entire facility, paying special attention to assigned area
   3. Assure that all tools, brooms, air lines are returned to their designated areas after use.
   4. Perform outside clean-up, mowing, and landscaping as required.
4. Communications:
   1. Communicate with on coming and off going personnel to insure continuity between shifts.
   2. Communicate effectively with management regarding issues, adjustments, and changes that have taken place.  Notify them of supply issues, maintenance needs, hazards, and accidents/injuries.
   3. Maintain complete and accurate written and/or electronic records and data.
5. Maintenance:
   1. Be familiar with components, sub-systems, support systems, and terminology of the equipment.
   2. Perform/assist in maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
6. General:
   1. Know and understand all safety procedures.
   2. Operate a forklift and other equipment as necessary.
   3. Abide by all company policies and procedures.
   4. Maintain required tools for use on the job.
   5. Be knowledgeable of production line in your area.
