SUMMARY
Under general supervision, directs the daily activities of the Finance Department, including providing general supervision, problem solving, and strategic direction to ensure the department’s activities are functionally coordinated around reconciliation, reporting documentation and process.

- Manages and directs the activities of assigned staff; coordinates, prioritizes and assigns tasks and projects; tracks and reviews work progress and activities; directs the recruitment and selection of staff; undertakes disciplinary action as required; conducts performance evaluations; ensures appropriate scheduling of staff to ensure proper operational coverage.
- Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises and reviews the work of assigned staff directly or through supervisors.
- Provides complex financial management support; oversees the preparation and administration of the budget, budget augmentations, projections and financial analyses.
- Contributes to the overall quality of the department's service provision by developing and coordinating work teams and by reviewing, recommending and implementing improved policies and procedures.
- Oversees and conducts studies regarding financial projections and revenue source development; advises on the financial policy and the integrity of the District's assets and financial systems.
- Provides financial analyses and counsel to Departments on revenues, expenditures and budget issues; trains staff in various budget and financial matters.
