This is a Hybrid role based out of our office in Fountain Valley, California. The Target Pay Range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, support, and optimize complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cisco networking platforms, Palo Alto firewalls, WAN circuit management, and network security best practices. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining secure, high-performance connectivity across the enterprise, supporting remote locations, and ensuring the availability and resilience of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the company’s Cisco infrastructure, including Catalyst and Nexus switches, ISR and ASR routers, ASA firewalls, and Wireless Controllers with Access Points.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade firewall solutions, including Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS), and Cisco ASA/Firepower systems.
- Design and implement secure cloud network architectures using AWS VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateway services.
- Build and manage IPsec tunnels, GRE tunnels, SSL VPNs, and cloud-native VPN solutions.
- Implement security policies, NAT rules, threat prevention profiles and URL filtering on NGFW platforms.
- Monitor and analyze firewall logs, network flows, and cloud-native telemetry (e.g., VPC Flow Logs, Azure NSG Flow Logs) for threat detection and network optimization.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, firewall rule audits, and cloud posture assessments.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues, perimeter security threats, and failures across all network appliances.
- Develop, enforce, and maintain network policies, procedures, and security standards in alignment with industry best practices.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and operational processes to support scalability and continuity.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure networking solutions aligned with security and business objectives.
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex firewalls, VPN, and cloud network-related incidents.
- Participate in change management activities, including maintenance windows, disaster recovery exercises, and security incident response.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise firewall management and cloud networking.
- Expert knowledge of Palo Alto and Cisco ASA/Firepower firewall platforms.
- Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP networking services and security best practices.
- Strong proficiency with network security concepts: IDS/IPS, threat prevention, VPNs, Zero Trust, and micro segmentation.
- Familiarity with SIEM integration and cloud security monitoring tools.
- Certifications strongly preferred: PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks), AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate.
