About the job you’re considering
The position focuses on engineering, testing, and lifecycle management of on-premise storage infrastructure. The architect will ensure operational stability, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to automation, documentation, and security of storage solutions.
Your Role:
• Evaluate, install, and maintain storage hardware/software in lab environments.
• Perform data migrations, provisioning, and decommissioning.
• Automate storage provisioning and QA testing.
• Conduct performance and functionality testing.
• Collaborate with Compute, Virtualization, Network, and Microservices teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on storage technologies.
• Ensure security and compliance in storage design.
Your skills and experience:
• Strong background in enterprise storage systems (Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, etc.).
• Proficiency in SAN (FC/IP), SDS (Ceph, MinIO), and storage protocols (Block, File, Object).
• Experience with backup solutions and BC/DR strategies.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Robot Framework, TestRail).
• Hands-on with performance testing tools (Virtana, FIO).
• Skilled in technical documentation (Lucidchart, Visio).
• Agile/SAFe project management experience (Jira Portfolio/Align).
Good to have:
• SNIA (SCSE, SCSA, SCSN-E)
• Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE)
• EMC Proven Professional
• NetApp NCDA & NCIE
