The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.
The Network Infrastructure Deployment (NID) team delivers the hyper-scale, low latency, high reliability network connecting customers around the globe to the rapidly growing Microsoft Cloud. As part of the Cloud and Enterprise organization, we support the needs of more than 200 Microsoft online services, including Bing, Office 365, SharePoint, Skype, OneDrive and several hundred thousand customers using Azure to host and run their Cloud Services in over 200 datacenters, running millions of servers and edge computing nodes all over the world. Responsibilities

As the Technical Solution Manager for Network Deployment Operations in NID, you are experienced and comfortable in providing insightful business and data analytics. The candidate will need to be able to apply a breadth of tools that aggregate information from multiple data sources to create a complete business view and translate the data into actionable insights. You will cultivate and create new business insights that support a growing business and result in business optimization. • Design, build and deliver solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights and support on-going operational usage
• Collaborate with our business partners to understand objectives, identify opportunities, and prioritize projects to deliver maximum business impact and return on investment
• Educate customers on how to leverage data as an asset for their function/business
• Drive data standards
• Ensure delivered solutions are stable, supportable, extensible, and trusted by our business partners

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Ability to be a “thought partner” with business process owners to understand their needs, then guide them towards solutions
• Experience creating data visualizations and modeling using technologies like T-SQL, Power BI (DAX and M Query), Excel, KQL, Azure (ADF), Python, R, C#, AngularJS, JavaScript
• Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity and put forward creative, innovative solutions
• Track record of independently driving issues to resolution and effective in communicating the approach & insights
• Possess a strong work ethic, be self-sufficient, and comfortable working in a complex and fast paced environment
