We are seeking a professional like you to lead the development of the daily execution team to ensure the execution of the production plan in a safe, cost-effective, and reliable manner. You will be responsible for leadership and development of employees in an organization with fewer than 50 direct and indirect reports.

As a Production Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

 

• Your commitment to safety and continuous improvement will be a valued asset as you will be responsible for driving EHS and continuous improvement activities. You will also provide resources for and follow-up on the implementation of continuous improvement tools, drive the exposure reduction process, support Process Optimization activities, and ensure all action items that impact safety, health, and the environment are properly managed.
• Striving for achievement, you will establish plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets to assure continuous improvement. You will also participate in the management of production related budget accounts.
• Utilizing your prior supervisory experience, you will enforce rules and policies, mange discipline issues, and resolve conflicts, setting the culture for the team. Additionally, you will oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and the selection of employees.
• Your strong business acumen combined with your technical aptitude will be essential as you optimize fixed and variable manufacturing unit costs and provide technical support for cost effective operations. Additionally, you will track the team’s daily production performance for success via KPIs/metrics.
• Providing operations coordination for asset optimization, you will interface with Maintenance, Asset Management, Technology, and other daily execution teams. You will interface with Global Production and Business Units.  
• Leveraging your education and your work experience in a manufacturing environment, you will provide technical and administrative guidance to operations, maintenance, and the business in support of the production plan.  
• As a leader and mentor, you will be responsible for the direction, development, succession planning/knowledge transfer, and performance management of the Daily Execution Team.  Additionally, you will identify training needs for members of the Daily Execution team and leverage the Operations Development Coordinator to implement the training process.
• Your firm grasp of the importance of operational discipline and proper housekeeping will serve you well as you own accountability for daily environmental and safety compliance, ensure the staff is prepared for emergency response situations, and champion the Zero Loss of Primary Containment Mindset.
• Demonstrating your in-depth knowledge of Process Safety Management rules and regulations in a chemical plant setting, you will own the management of change process for the plant and implement the incident investigation process including investigation, root cause analysis, action items, documentation, and follow-up for incidents.

If you have...

 

• 10+ years of technical experience in chemical manufacturing (such as in-plant operations, multiple chemical plant start-up, process/project engineering, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or other related technical degree.
• Leadership experience.
• In-depth knowledge of production, engineering, safety, environmental and working knowledge of maintenance and quality control issues.
• A high safety acumen and solid business acumen.
