Property Summary

The Maintenance Technician will float between the following six properties as needed: Parc Square, Beverly Park, Lynhaven, Knightsbridge, William Watters and Whitefield Commons.

Parc Square is a six building, 66-unit property located in the Arlandria-Chirilagua neighborhood of Alexandria. Parc Square is conveniently situated near I-395 plenty of shopping, recreational parks, and the public bus line service.

With 33 garden-style studio, 1BR/1BA, 2BR/1BA, and 3BR/2BA apartments, less than a mile from I-395, and close to public bus line service, Beverly Park is an ideal location for everyone. All units were fully renovated in 2009, and residents enjoy central A/C and on-site laundry facilities. The community is located in the Arlandria area of the City of Alexandria.

Lynhaven is in a convenient location in Alexandria near South Glebe Road and Mount Vernon Avenue with newly renovated kitchens, bathrooms, and floors, and a resident parking lot. The community offers 28 1BR/1BA and 2BR/1BA garden apartments in a lovely tree-lined neighborhood.

Knightsbridge is conveniently located near Ballston Quarter (formerly the Ballston Commons Mall) in Arlington, with easy access to the Ballston and Virginia Square Metro Stations. The garden apartments are in three-story brick buildings surrounding fully landscaped, brick-paved courtyards. Job Summary

Performs maintenance at properties in accordance with safety guidelines, customer service policies and property procedures. Assists with jobs as needed and ensures interactions with residents and other team members shows competent, professional and effective behaviors. Serves as on-call maintenance technician providing evening, weekend and holiday service as scheduled.

Requirements

 Essential Functions

• Complete assigned repairs or maintenance work accurately and efficiently, using excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents
• Complete reports on accomplished maintenance work.
• Acquire necessary parts for all repairs
• Carry a charged cell phone at all times while at work; respond to incoming texts and phone calls promptly and courteously
• Assist janitorial staff with some grounds maintenance, such as clearing sidewalks after winter snow
• Perform other duties as assigned

Plumbing 

• Repair leaky faucets, disposals and diverters.
• Replace sinks, tubs, commodes, lavatory waste lines and clogged supply/drain lines.
• Locate and repair leaks in hot or cold water supply lines. 
• Troubleshoot routine issues before calling expert vendors.
• Cut, prepare and solder any repairs as necessary.
• Repair/replace parts in resident bathrooms and kitchens.<
