About the role

<p>This is a key leadership role in our engineering organization, with the title of Senior Software Manager based on the candidate’s experience and scope of contribution.</p><p></p><p>The candidate leads one or more engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software products or platforms. This role balances technical leadership, people management, and strategic planning, ensuring teams are aligned with business goals and engineering excellence.</p><p></p><p>You are contributing to the vision and execution of your product. You operate within the company’s overall product strategy and in collaboration with Software Product Development and Management Leadership.</p><p></p><h2>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:</h2><h2>Leadership &amp; Management</h2><ul><li><p>Lead, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers and technical leads.</p></li><li><p>Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support career growth.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Technical Oversight</h2><ul><li><p>Guide architectural decisions, design reviews, and code quality standards.</p></li><li><p>Drive technical roadmap in alignment with product and business strategy.</p></li><li><p>Stay hands-on as needed, especially for complex system designs or troubleshooting.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of end-user needs or how engineering decisions impact the customer experience.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Project and Delivery Management</h2><ul><li><p>Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to plan and prioritize software deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software.</p></li><li><p>Use Agile or other methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira) to track progress and evolve software organization with continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Experience working in a global organization with geographically distributed teams, and flexibility to engage across time zones as needed.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Cross-Functional Collaboration</h2><ul><li><p>Work closely with DevOps, QA and Security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.</p></li><li><p>Represent engineering in product planning, release readiness, and customer discussions.</p></li><li><p>Communicate effectively with executive leadership on team performance, risks, and timelines.</p></li><li><p>Working closely with UX and/or Product Owners to ensure the product is intuitive and user-friendly.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Key Qualifications:</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</p></li><li><p>8–12+ years of experience in software development.</p></li><li><p>3–5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 2 to 3 years of warehouse logistics expertise and subject understanding. While not necessary, this experience is preferred.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Technical Skills</h2><ul><li><p>Excellent skills in one or more of the programming languages :</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>React and TypeScript</p></li><li><p>Azure Databricks, pyspark, Python, LakeBase</p></li><li><p>Azure services (including Event Hub, Cosmos Db), Python, .Ne</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and modern software architectures.</p></li><li><p><span>Infrastructure-as-Code</span> (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).</p></li><li><p>Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>Soft Skills</h2><ul><li><p>Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
