Client Solutions Manager

The ASU Outreach Hub is a nonprofit organization that supports the outreach and transactional needs of the ASU public enterprise through marketing and engagement solutions that advance the university and strengthen its brand. It specializes in paid media outreach, data-driven insights and outreach to alumni, donors and targeted corporations.

The Client Solutions Manager drives and manages integrated marketing plans, programs, communications, initiatives and digital content. In this role they assist the ASU Outreach Hub by working closely and collaboratively with fundraisers, creatives, program leads, units, vendors and groups across the enterprise to implement and support marketing and communications initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Acts as a marketing solutions expert

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key clients and partners

  • Educates clients on marketing solutions and best practices, makes strategic recommendations, negotiates, and delivers value added solutions  

  • Develops trusted advisor relationships with key clients, product owners and customer stakeholders

  • Actively leads and manages client calls and meetings while taking a central role in discussions

  • Develops and manages marketing strategies, plans, projects, tactics and core messages, makes recommendations, identifying opportunities, and leveraging resources to achieve objectives and outcomes while amplifying multiple brands

  • Works closely with the Director of Client Solutions to translate strategic goals into actionable plans on a regular basis

  • Works closely with marketing project management and other team members to manage and coordinate the direction, design and production of marketing collateral, campaigns, publications, web and digital properties, social media, and other channels to execute strategic goals, keeping projects on time and on budget

  • Gathers, shares, and acts on feedback from clients throughout projects, while delivering results

  • Works in partnership with digital marketing experts to concept data-driven, engaging content for multi-channel marketing projects to meet strategic needs

  • Assigns tasks, monitors progress and negotiates solutions to ensure goals are met

  • Works with other members of the Outreach Hub team to prepare and plan responses to requests for services

  • As needed, highlights additional capabilities and skills of the Outreach Hub that can be leveraged to benefit client goals

  • Researches and applies industry trends, emerging ideas and best practices to marketing strategy, campaigns and executions

  • Reviews marketing materials for quality and consistency to ensure best in class standards

  • Reviews marketing materials to ensure project goals and objectives are met

  • Collaborates, consults and actively participates in new idea generation, brainstorming concepts, and makes recommendations for creative ways to accomplish goals

What you'll need

  • Team-oriented strategist able to effectively manage complex situations involving numerous and sometimes competing constituencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Project management abilities: managing multiple projects simultaneously; working effectively and efficiently with individuals and teams within a diverse environment; and familiarity using project management tools (including Wrike)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic communication and marketing principles

  • Superb client relationship skills and demonstrated ability to self-direct and take initiatives

  • Proven creative and critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of goal setting techniques

  • Strong working knowledge of standard marketing tools (including content management systems, Google Analytics/SEO, social media, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office

  • Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to ASU Enterprise Partners, its affiliates and University business and confidential prospect information

  • Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phone

  • Excellent listening skills with a strong ability to read people and adapt working style, communication, and responses accordingly
