The Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an AVP, Excess Casualty Underwriter to join our Western Region.
Responsibilities:
• Marketing and underwriting Excess Casualty business
• Exposure identification for a wide variety of business types
• Contract analysis
• Adhering to underwriting rules and guidelines
• Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality service
• Collaborating with other product lines to provide full product support to the client
Work Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or above and/or insurance certifications
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in underwriting casualty business
• Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
• Strong relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment
• Customer-oriented approach

For CA Only: The base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $205,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
