Senior Project Manager - Grid Connection / Construction

<p><br/><span><strong>RWE Renewables Hellas Single-Member S.A</strong></span><br/><span><strong>To start as soon as possible, full time, fixed term</strong></span></p> <p> </p><p>Within the Onshore Construction Europe department of RWE Renewables, under the lead of the Construction Lead Manager, the Project Manager Construction will contribute to the successful completion of Solar PV (possibly BESS) projects in Greece. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead solar and storage projects from the construction phase through to the Commercial Operation Date (COD) and the completion of the trial operation period</li> <li>Lead and supervise the entire grid connection process, from coordinating with grid operators to providing technical and strategic direction</li> <li>Provide decisive on-site project leadership, establishing execution frameworks and monitoring construction progress and work quality</li> <li>Manage and supervise EPC contractors for the construction of grid connection works in coordination with the site manager</li> <li>Ensure the project complies with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) obligations, as well as all national, local, and regulatory requirements</li> <li>Take responsibility for adhering to all Grid Code requirements to guarantee successful commissioning and feed-in to the grid</li> <li>Project Governance &amp; Reporting:Support overall project governance and ensure regular weekly and monthly reporting to all stakeholders</li> <li>Cost &amp; Contract Management:Assist in monitoring project profitability (P&amp;L) and managing contracts, for example, by checking invoices and handling claims</li> <li>Ensure clear and effective communication with all internal and external project stakeholders</li> <li>After commissioning, support the operations team by managing the completion of punch list items and assisting with contractual matters until final acceptance.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in engineering, ideally electrical engineering, and at least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the area of construction or engineering of renewable assets, ideally Solar PV assets or electrical systems (gained if possible in an international environment)</li> <li>Proven track record in Construction Project Management as well as sound technical knowledge about Solar PV assets or electrical systems (e.g. substations, transformers, inverters)</li> <li>Very good analytical skills coupled with the required drive to execute and deliver projects</li> <li>Greek speaker with fluent professional English required.
