Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Director / Director, Technical Accounting to serve as Tenpoint’s expert on all aspects of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and accounting policy. This is a hands-on role where you will own the technical foundation that underpins our financial reporting, ensure we are IPO-ready, and provide guidance across the business on accounting implications of strategic decisions.

You will work closely with the Controller, CFO, and executive team to ensure Tenpoint’s reporting is accurate, compliant, and aligned with our growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Accounting Leadership
- Serve as Tenpoint’s subject matter expert on US GAAP, SEC regulations, and accounting policy.
- Research, interpret, and implement accounting guidance for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, collaborations, leases, and financings.
- Own accounting and reporting for equity compensation and share-based payments, ensuring accuracy in valuation, expensing, modifications, and disclosures.
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and documentation to support audit readiness and compliance.
- Lead Workiva drafting and finished SEC reporting.
IPO Readiness & Public Company Reporting
- Lead technical accounting workstreams for IPO readiness, including support preparation of S-1 registration statements and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate drafting and review of Form 10-K and 10-Q filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with SEC requirements.
- Partner with the Controller and CFO on external auditor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Establish scalable accounting policies and controls consistent with public company standards and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
