Core Responsibilities
- Developing and leading a formal sustainability program
- Creating successful internal partnerships to integrate safety values and practices across the business
- Communicating enterprise risks associated with environmental, health, or safety failures
- Establishing global corporate EHS standards and practices
- Publicly reporting progress on a full spectrum of EHS and sustainability initiatives
- Responding to stakeholder inquires about their company’s EHS and sustainability performance
- Working with supply chain
- Global auditing
- Ensuring safe and healthy workplaces around the world

Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:

- Understanding of OSHA standards, in particular; power tools, lockout/tagout, confined space, electrical, fall protection, cranes, and heavy industrial
- Knowledge of JHAs, PPE, Hazcom, LOTO, Confined Space, and Fall Protection procedures
- Proven ability to train large multiple groups of employees
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADOSH, Cal OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of all other applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
Education/Training - Work Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of proven safety management experience within a fabrication/shop environment
Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses
As outlined in the Core Competencies, an individual must have thorough knowledge and an advanced understanding of each competency outlined above in order to carry out the essential functions of this position. Specialized Knowledge is also required in the following areas:
- PPE, HAZCOM, Confined Space, and Lockout/Tagout
- Electrical, NFPA 70E procedures
- Production line procedures
- Heavy machine equipment as they relate to appropriate machine guarding
Software & Technology
Position will require the frequent use of MS Windows 7 and/or MS Windows 1
