As a Supervisor, Welding, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of workers who operate various machines to weld parts or products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Will support and strive toward safety in all facets of the manufacturing facility.
  • Resolve safety problems that arise and complete required paperwork.
  • Effectively document incidents or near-miss investigations.
  • Assist with or perform nonconformance investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Effectively monitor and adjust productivity and efficiency of workers to plant performance standards.
  • Ensure shop equipment is tracked, maintained, and available as required.
  • Supervision and direction of welders, material handlers, machine operators, and sanders.
  • Ensure a well-trained and versatile workforce by promoting cross-training.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Plans the flow of materials through the department.
  • Works with fume control equipment such as downdraft tables and methods of fume control.
  • May supervise large vertical milling and drilling machines.
  • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Supports Hunter Excellence and Value Stream Initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, subordinates,?and management.
  • Assist with recruitment and hiring of plant personnel.
