Who We Serve 

Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional-age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal-eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties.   

Compensation We Offer

  •  The initial compensation for this position is $21.00 per hour.
  •  7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions*
    • must meet company policy eligibility requirements.

    About our Program:  The Prevention and Early Intervention program (PEI) is a short-term, school linked mental health program that serves clients and families in Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Santa Clara County. The PEI program provides therapy services, family support, rehab and group services to eligible clients in the schools, homes and community. 

    Internship Schedule: Internship Starts August 2025

    JOB SUMMARY

    Under close supervision, incumbents build and maintain a caseload typically of four to eight clients.  Participates in group therapy sessions, attend weekly supervision, and intern training and/or clinical case consultations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Build and maintain an active caseload of a minimum of four to six clients.
    • Serve as a co-facilitator in one or more weekly group therapy sessions at an Agency service site.
    • Attend one-hour individual supervision and two-hour group supervision per week.
    • Attend one 2 hour intern training or clinical case consultation per week.
    • Actively participates in agency training opportunities as appropriate.
    • Complete agency and County required documentation as required within applicable time lines.
    • Conform to all legal and ethical standards applicable to psychotherapy or counseling providers as required by state law, agency requirements and the profession.
    • Other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor of Arts/Science (B.A./B.S.) in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Psychology.
    • One (1) year of related experience or training in an accredited Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology graduate program.
    • Current enrollment in a Masters or Doctoral program in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Psychology.
    • Authorization from the intern’s college or university to begin a trainee assignment, practicum or internship at Agency.
