Innovation Partnership Lead
You will own the Philips and VUMC innovation partnership development strategy and lead its execution, ensuring the partnership remains relevant and high-impact over time. This role involves interacting with executive stakeholders, day to day collaboration with healthcare professionals and compliance and legal teams, to drive a collaboration that is instrumental to Philips’ innovation agenda.
Your role:
- Create and execute a partnership development strategy aligned to both organizations’ priorities, translating strategic intent into a structured innovation agenda and project funnel.
- Own partnership governance with VUMC counterparts, including steering, reporting, and transparency on progress and outcomes.
- Identify and develop joint innovation capabilities across Philips and VUMC, aimed at accelerating R&D, enabling faster translation from clinical insight to scalable innovation.
- Ensure operational excellence of the innovation program: end-to-end tracking, timely delivery, issue/risk management, and escalation when needed.
- Serve as Philips’ primary reference for VUMC’s innovation ecosystem, surfacing insights and opportunities that strengthen the partnership.
- Facilitate alignment across Philips Businesses and Functions to enable successful co-creation and enterprise-wide impact.
- Promote partnership achievements through internal and external communications and contribute to Philips-wide clinical partnership learning.
You're the right fit if:
- Advanced degree in a scientific, engineering or medical field; PhD or MD preferred.
- 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in partnership management, research, or innovation. Knowledge of VUMC and/or Philips strongly desired.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead meetings with senior and executive stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing innovation programs within complex, matrixed organizations through influence.
- Experience with healthcare data management is preferred
- Experience working with leading hospitals or academic medical centers is a strong asset.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Nashville is $126,000 to $177,400 Annually.
