Responsibilities for Quality Engineer, include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop/improve inspection methods to analyze product quality. 
  • Improve product quality by making data-based recommendations for change. 
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products. 
  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards. 
  • Assist Quality Management to formulate a strategic plan to increase productivity in the business. 
  • Lead root cause and corrective review board efforts to establish prioritized reduction plans on cost of poor quality.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with industry and ISO9001 standards.
  • Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process. 
  • Participate or lead continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing. plant related to quality, process control, material efficiency, etc. 
  • Reports to the Quality Manager at the G street location.  

Basic qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas of study is preferred: engineering, chemistry, biology, physical science or related. 
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in a quality control / assurance environment required. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience (5Why, Fishbone, 8D, DMAIC, etc). 
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to work efficiently both individually or in a team environment. 
  • Ability to collect and analyze data. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • ISO 9001 auditor certification.
  • Ion exchange manufacturing experience. 
  • LIMS experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt. 
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC).
