Role Description

Form Energy is looking for an Electrical Test Technician. Help build, assemble, and maintain advanced cell test stands. In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers and other technicians to bring technical designs to life, ensuring everything is built with precision and high quality. You’ll install and integrate new test equipment, perform regular maintenance and repairs, and troubleshoot any issues that come up to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll also inspect assemblies, monitor equipment performance, and look for ways to improve processes and efficiency.

What you'll do:

• Build and assemble electrical and mechanical components for first-of-kind cell test stands, ensuring precision and quality in all construction

• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Support the installation and integration of test equipment into the infrastructure

• Perform maintenance and repairs on test infrastructure to ensure continuous operation and reliability

• Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies to verify compliance with design specifications

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve build processes and techniques, contributing to a culture of innovation and operational excellence

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on process performance and project statuses

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and identify areas for improvement both independently and cross-functionally.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, maintenance activities, product performance.

• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs).

What you'll bring:

• Experience monitoring processes in an assembly, production, or related industry 

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.

• Familiarity with process control systems, data analysis, and statistical methods.

• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration within a dynamic production environment.

• Can do, hands-on attitude to problem solving and dedication to continuous improvement activities.
