Research Specialist DJob Description Summary
The Department of Radiology is seeking a highly motivated Research Specialist D to support, initiate, and manage ultrasound imaging and therapy projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge translational research in medical imaging and therapeutic ultrasound while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary research team.·
Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Perform ultrasound imaging studies, including preparation and handling of animal models.
Lead and support quantitative research activities, including proposal development, study design, data collection, and advanced image analysis.
Prepare comprehensive reports, manuscripts, and scientific publications to disseminate research findings and support future funding applications.
Develop, implement, and oversee Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocols, ensuring compliance with all ethical and safety standards. Maintain and enforce laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, trainees, and students as needed.
Position Is contingent upon grant funding
Qualifications
- Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Prior experience with ultrasound imaging techniques and image analysis strongly preferred.
