Senior Advisor, Talent Management | Senior Manager, Learner Experience

In our collaborative environment, you'll help implement and evolve skills and competency frameworks— finding ways to leverage emerging technologies to stay ahead of changing business needs and trends. You'll also drive impactful moments in the employee lifecycle, ensuring skills-related tools and platforms support learning, growth, and engagement at every stage. This role can be based in our Boston office or our Jersey City global headquarters, which both offer a felxible hybrid work model (weekly in-office hours required).
Skills Strategy & Execution
- Champion how we leverage skills at Verisk by consulting with leaders and SMEs to prioritize skills by job function, level, and role.
- Drive strategy and create guidance and engage team members/partners to govern and grow Verisk’s skills library.
- Provide strategic thought leadership to translate skills insights into actionable learning journeys, career pathway examples, and measures of success.
- Partner with Talent Management and HR team members to connect skills to employee experiences and internal processes/programs that help employees navigate their careers.
Learner Experience Design
- Influence strategic talent management enhancements by identifying critical moments in the employee lifecycle when learning interventions, assessments, or conversations can increase engagement and skill-building.
- Leverage digital platforms to optimize the end-to-end learner journey and ensure effectiveness across a variety of roles and global locations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of digital learning tools for key audiences and share strategic insights. Analyze patterns of learning consumption and usage of skills-based tools across talent suite to refine engagement strategies.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Provide insight, guidance, and regular updates to teams and HR Business Partners so they can champion and advise on career development strategies.
- Partner with Marketing on communication campaigns that promote self-directed learning and reinforce understanding of the career framework and Verisk’s career philosophy.
- Manage team and administrators responsible for LMS systems, skills libraries, audience management, learning usage analysis and reporting.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as organizational development, instructional technology, or behavioral sciences.
- 5+ years proven working experience leading organizational effectiveness, competency development, or strategic talent management initiatives.
- 5+ years experience developing and delivering creative solutions or tools that leverage technology and data management; with experience working in a global, matrixed, or multi-business unit environment.
- Broad, applied, knowledge of employee and manager life cycles, talent management, and organizational career development strategies.
- Able to effectively manage, influence, and communicate with external partners and team members to prioritize needs, plan/sequence work, and meet goals.
- An understanding of user-centric design for technical and non-technical solutions.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with experience summarizing qualitative and quantitative data for insights and guidance.
- Avid learner with strong research skills, curiosity, and awareness of emerging trends in talent management and employee experience technologies.
