FAES | Cuyahoga CountyThis position is located in Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, Ohio.
This 4-H Youth Program Educator 2, will work 20 hours per week to recruit and engage teens ages 13-18 years old for participation in the Cuyahoga County Youth Advocacy and Leadership Coalition. Under the direction of the Area Leader and through cooperative work with the 4-H YALC Program Coordinator, recruitment includes establishing relationships with Cuyahoga county's youth serving organizations (schools, community centers, churches, libraries, etc.) and familiarizing youth with YALC programming to increase membership. Engagement strategies also include developing marketing campaigns, conducting in person and virtual presentations, and maintaining the YALC web and social media pages.
This position will teach, facilitate, and assist with educational programs for 4-H YALC youth, parents, and volunteers as needed. This includes teaching workshops, training teen and adult volunteers, tracking program data, assisting with Summit planning, and working with program partners.
The Program Educator will work with the Cuyahoga County 4-H team to teach and facilitate other relevant 4-H programs including school and community enrichment programs, volunteer training, contests, and recognition programs. The Program Educator will support 4-H camp, county fair programming, special interest groups, and other 4-H programs as appropriate. As a member of the Cuyahoga County Extension team general administrative duties for the department may be requested as well, such as sorting mail, making copies, meeting planning, and answering phones.
Candidates must have the ability to: recruit and engage Cuyahoga County teens through a variety of means, including social media; teach and motivate youth while nurturing positive self-esteem, decision making, responsibility, and leadership abilities; practice strong organizational, record keeping, delegation, and written/oral communication skills; work flexible hours to attend various programs and events including evenings and weekends.
OSU Extension’s Cuyahoga County office is located at 3634 Euclid Avenue Cleveland 44115. Much of the work and educational programming will at locations throughout Cuyahoga County. Applicant must have personal transportation. Employee will be reimbursed at the University-approved mileage rate.
This is a grant-funded position.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
The pay range for this profile is $15.86 - $20.74/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
