Here’s what you can expect in the role as an Insurance Claims Care Representative:

The Insurance Claims Care Representative position exists to set up new claims and process a large volume of incoming calls regarding existing insurance claims.

Job Duties:

  • Is responsible for professional and timely communication with customers via phone, fax, and email.
  • Accurately documents all information regarding existing claims.
  • Assists team members with customers in timely follow-up, processing and settling of their insurance claims.
  • Interviews claimants and initiate claims procedures.
  • Reviews applicant’s insurance coverage.
  • Gathers file information and aids Claims Representative as necessary.
  • Documents, imports, and gathers information from customers.
  • Processes inspection reports.
  • Follows up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to qualify:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Effectively communicate via phone and computer.
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Experience in AS400 a plus.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to complete assigned work efficiently.
  • Willing to learn, hard-working, determined, and assertive.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required.

But also, remember you:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Ability to talk and type at the same time.
  • Must be able to communicate around 90% of the time over the phone.  Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process
  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
