Job Description
What do you do as a Data Management Analyst?
As our new (Senior) Data Management Analyst you will join the Northern Europe Data Office, working primarily for the Netherlands business. You will pro-actively participate and help drive the set-up of a data management practice focusing on areas such as Data Operations, Data Governance, Data Integration and other data related areas such as Data Quality and Data Innovation. Your daily focus is on internal projects, data processes and supporting other functions such as our Analytics, Sales, Product Management and Operations teams. Since we are a new and relatively small team you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of responsibilities.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Data Management Analyst are:
- You are responsible for the day-to-day management of our data transfer processes from our suppliers to our Experian platforms including data loading, data reporting and quality.
- You are able to proactively automate processes and reporting for improving data quality and efficiency of the data processes. Working closely with the business and DevOps teams.
- You perform tasks to analyze data, safeguard our data quality and interpret the data in the right way. Working with various teams to validate and improve data usage, generate insights into our data, and support other functions.
- You collaborate with internal and external clients to determine the appropriate requirements, performance measures and statistical metrics to be applied during (data) projects.
- You work with our team and Data Acquisition Manager to manage and maintain the relationship with our data suppliers. You look for opportunities to provide extra value for our data suppliers.
- You play an active role in the preparation, administration and validation of specific audits, documentation and comply with processes and seek innovation, improvement, and efficiency within data management.
Qualifications
- You have a master’s degree or experience level with proven knowledge of programming (SQL, SAS/WPS, Python, R, etc.), and database architecture and design
- You have experience in data modelling, data quality, data mapping, data transformation, Meta data and reporting.
- You have a good understanding of data engineering challenges and proven experience with data platform engineering (Online, batch, ingestion, storage, ETL processing, management, integration, consumption, security)
- You have experience with cloud platforms (preferred)
- You have experience with GDPR and Data Governance and Compliance (preferred)
- You can work in international project teams with colleagues from different functions.
