Maintenance Surveyor

Salary £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience, plus 34 days leave and instant pay access via Stream

1 x Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)

1 x Temporary 12-month fixed term, full time (37.5 hpw)

Working out of our Durham office and cover the Sunderland, Durham and surrounding areas

What you’ll do

• Carry out inspections and manage repairs across your patch

• Support trades and contractors with technical advice and guidance

• Manage disrepair cases and help tackle damp and mould

• Oversee building works and track progress against schedules

• Make sure empty homes are ready to re-let quickly

You have

• HND or Degree in surveying or construction related field, with strong post qualification experience

• Knowledge of damp and mould, or willing to work towards a qualification

• Experience diagnosing property condition and scoping for remedial works

• Understanding of building pathology and complex issues like subsidence

• Experience managing contractors and ensuring health and safety compliance.

The practical bits

• You’ll work Monday to Friday

• You’ll manage your own diary

• You’ll cover a patch across Durham and Sunderland areas. Expect to spend time on the road and working from home
