Job Description:A student assistant helping with the Florida 4-H State Events
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and logistics for statewide 4-H events (e.g., 4-H University, Legislature, iLEAD, competitive events)
- Help organize event materials, supplies, and registration packets
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, scanning, and document preparation
- Respond to general inquiries from counties, families, and volunteers via phone or email
- Support event registration management using online platforms (e.g., Eventbrite, Qualtrics, 4-H Online)
- Coordinate mailings and deliveries to counties before and after events
- Attend on-campus events to provide day-of support, including registration, set-up, and clean-up
- Help organize supplies and maintain event storage and inventory
- Complete special projects or tasks assigned by State Events staff
- Availability: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm, 20 hours a week.
Advertised Salary:
$13/hour
Minimum Requirements:Must have a current Federal Work Study work award
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Requirement: Data entry, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, TEAMS) and Adobe. Strong Communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently as well as follow verbal and written instructions. Demonstrate professional etiquette in the office and on the phone. Willing to learn.
