About the job

As a Data & Integration senior data Engineer (tech lead) you will be part of the Data & Integration teams which encompasses currently several Technologies and Services like Talend, GCP, Neptune and others.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Data & Integration senior data Engineer (tech lead) that will manage several technological services as Service owner and maintain standard and good practices for all data Engineers indirectly or directly reporting to this position.

 

You will be working with internal teams, as well as external resources/vendors, to create cohesive end-to-end solutions from the ingestion of data, ETL, and storage in lakehouse and in webapps. You will work in Agile closely with product lines, business stakeholders and architects and other stakeholders.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Service Strategy and Design: Develop and maintain service strategies aligned with business objectives and design cost-effective services.
     
  • Service Delivery and Performance: Oversee service delivery to meet quality standards and monitor performance for improvements.
     
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work with cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders to understand needs, deliver solutions and ensure effective communication and alignment.
     
  • Technical Leadership: Guide Data Engineers in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and efficient storage, data exposure.
     
  • Excellence and Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities for service enhancement and innovation to increase value. Participate in the data quality and security while driving continuous improvement.
     
  • Potential Project Management for solutions evolution: Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables for successful completion.

 

Education and experience

  • Master in computer science or engineering or technical/scientific field of study
  • 5+ years’ of experience as a Data Engineer or similar positions in IT
  • Strong competency with data manipulation: Python, Sql, Talend, function, Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery, Cloud Functions 
  • Experience in Webapp development with or without low code solutions.
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines as part of the development
  • Proficiency in JIRA for task management/Confluence for documentation
  • Experience with mentoring, managing data engineers.
  • Have a good knowledge of Service ownership
