Associate, Investment Product Strategy (Equities)

<p>About this role</p><p></p><p></p><p>About Product Strategy</p><p></p><p>Product Strategists serve as a link between portfolio managers and our clients globally. We serve as product experts covering 5 -10 investment strategies on average. We work closely with portfolio managers and use our deep understanding of products and markets to make the investment process more relatable to our clients.</p><p></p><p>We are expanding our Product Strategy team in Budapest, which serves as the innovation hub of the team’s production of timely and effective marketing materials, product presentations and response to client inquiries. In addition to servicing existing clients, product strategists have an opportunity to help drive new business and assist the firm with achieving its commercial objectives.</p><p></p><p>Our team in Budapest covers BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group (PMG). We provide coverage across a multitude of asset classes and investment styles globally over BlackRock’s Active Investments Platform: Budapest-based strategists are working directly with one or more investment teams across locations such as London, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Manage and mentor junior team members, and engage in workflow coordination</p></li><li><p>Lead innovation projects focused on efficiency gains and generating further insights</p></li><li><p>Drive the production of standard client collateral such as presentations, factsheets, and commentaries</p></li><li><p>Take ownership of internal and external reporting by collating and analysing performance attribution, exposure, AUM and flows data</p></li><li><p>Collaborate on standard RFI production, DDQs and other client questionnaire completion</p></li><li><p>Assist Portfolio Managers and senior Product Strategists with complex ad-hoc requests</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain database reports (Morningstar, eVestment, FactSet)</p></li><li><p>Keep abreast of regulatory and other structural trends and ensure that both new and existing products comply with regulatory requirements</p></li></ul><p></p><p>You should have</p><ul><li><p>4+ years of professional experience</p></li><li><p>Keen interest in global financial markets; be up to date on macro events and market trends</p></li><li><p>Desire to learn about the investment management industry</p></li><li><p>Strong data management and manipulation skills; Proficiency with Python or R programming language</p></li><li><p>Fluency in written and spoken English is essential</p></li><li><p>Prior team management experience is preferred but not essential.
