Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Summary: </b></p><p></p><p>We have an exciting opportunity for a <b>Principal Specialist, Contracts</b> in the Precision Fires &amp; Maneuver (PF&amp;M) portfolio within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit.  In this role, you will be responsible for helping lead, manage, and administer contracts within the Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Javelin Joint Venture <span><span><span><span>(JJV) Engineering</span></span></span></span> Services portfolio supporting production and covering sustainment and some development. The portfolio will include Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Cost Plus Fixed Fee Type contracts.</p><p></p><p>The position will be well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with a key outside partner in Lockheed Martin Corporation.</p><p></p><p>Success in this position is defined as being a business partner with the assigned teams.  Enablers for success include being able to effectively multitask; familiar with DoD contracting; and demonstrate good communication skills to be able to interface with all levels of internal and external customers.</p><p></p><p>This position is located in Tucson, AZ.</p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><ul><li>Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFP) related to Engineering Services Management (ESM), development of proposals in the Technical Directive Letter (TDL), proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, as well as general contract administration.</li><li>Collaborate with the Contracts Lead, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Proposal Manager, Business/Estimating and Supply Chain.</li><li>Support program management and execution reviews.</li><li>Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies.</li><li>Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.</li><li>Examine and understand cost structure estimates of labor, material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications You Must Have:</b></p><ul><li>​Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field</li><li>Typically requires 5 years of prior relevant work experience in contracts or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience</li><li>Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) and related government regulations</li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications We Prefer:</b></p><ul><li>Additional experience in areas of law, supply chain, finance or program management</li><li>Professional, effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills; be adaptable to a variety of business situations</li><li>Familiarity with Intellectual Property, license agreements, teaming agreements, and Export/Import</li><li>Aptitude to review RFPs, proposals and contractual documents for contractual requirements and risks, ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and meet company policies and standards</li><li>Ability to lead proposal and contract negotiations to achieve business objectives while ensuring customer needs are met</li><li>Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills</li><li>Strong skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li><li>Active DoD Secret clearance</li><li>Juris Doctor, MBA or NCMA Certification</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We Offer: </b></p><p></p><p>Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; health
