Project Overview:

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.

RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholder involvement, by coordinating and guiding subcontractor management staff. Your field supervision will ensure that operations align with established schedules and that work is executed using safe and efficient methods.

In addition to subcontractor oversight, you will manage Bechtel’s self-perform scope within the building for data cabling and telecom device installations. This role also includes oversight of DCS equipment installations inside buildings and supervision of fiber optic (FO) contracted resources executing OSBL scope, including FO termination and patching. #LI-TH1

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitors and organizes both subcontractor and Bechtel self-perform construction activities, coordinating and instructing subcontractor management staff and self-perform teams within the area of responsibility.
• Supports field execution on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity, with multiple stakeholder involvement and interface coordination.

Planning 

• Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements both subcontractors and Bechtel’s self-delivery scope (e.g., data cabling, telecom devices, and DCS installations).
• Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements. 
• Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules. 

Safety / Quality 

• Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements 
• Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management. 

Technical 

• Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
